Cost Share & Partnerships
Landowners in South Dakota may qualify for financial and technical assistance to improve wildlife habitat, protect soil and water resources, and support sustainable agriculture.
Many of these programs are offered through partnerships with organizations like the South Dakota Department of Game, Fish and Parks and the USDA Farm Service Agency. These programs help farmers and ranchers develop habitat where it makes the most sense while supporting South Dakota’s strong outdoor heritage, including world-class hunting and fishing opportunities.

Habitat Pays
Farmers and Ranchers may qualify for assistance through the department of Game Fish and Parks, to develop and fund wildlife habitat where it makes the most sense, and promote an ongoing legacy in South Dakota for some of the best hunting and fishing in the world.
