Northwest Native Cottonwood is the largest native hardwood in the Pacific Northwest, commonly reaching 150+ feet and growing in wet, sunny, riparian habitats. Known for fast growth, it features dark green, spade-shaped leaves with silver/bronze undersides, a pungent balsamy scent in winter buds, and creates significant cotton-like seed drift in early summer.
